The version 9.7.0 (often referred to as 970) is a significant milestone, particularly for organizations that preferred the 2021 release cycle due to its stability, security patches, and compatibility with legacy systems.
Right-click setup.exe → Run as Administrator .
Keep the default range (27000-27009) unless your network requires custom. Take note of the vendor daemon port – you will need it for license files.
Finish the wizard. The services Sentinel RMS License Manager and Sentinel RMS Vendor Daemon should start automatically.
Use Local System Account for simplicity, or a domain service account with minimal privileges.
Select “License Manager only” (unless you’re a vendor needing tools).
