Yet, whispered about in encrypted Discord servers and archived PHPBB forums, there exists a phantom build: Minecraft Alpha 1.0.3_02 Exclusive .
Access was granted to fewer than 200 people: early donors who paid over €50 during the Infdev period, close friends, and a handful of forum moderators from the now-defunct Minecraftforum.net .
The official public Alpha 1.0.3 (without the suffix) was a modest update released on July 5, 2010. Its patch notes were boring: fixed a chest bug, tweaked fire spread, and added a few block colors. Nobody remembers it.
