When a new romantic drama hits the small screen, the first episode carries the heavy burden of setting the tone, introducing complex characters, and hooking the audience before the first commercial break. The Indian television series Dil Sambhal Ja Zara , which premiered to much anticipation, accomplished all this and more. The first episode—titled simply “The Invitation”—did not just walk into viewers' living rooms; it sashayed in with a mysterious briefcase, a broken marriage pact, and a fragrance of revenge. Given the mature tone, any of these could be true. The promo for Episode 2, titled “The Family Lie,” shows Aarohi arriving at the Mallik mansion. She is forced to pretend she is still married to Armaan in front of his orthodox, ailing grandmother (played by veteran actress Surekha Sikri ). Meanwhile, a mysterious woman watches from a balcony, holding the same perfume bottle— La Mort.
